Music at St. George's

Music is important in the life of St. George’s. With our fine acoustics, superb Casavant organ, and sumptuous Ingram Music Suite, we have excellent resources, and the parish has a long tradition of the finest in Anglican church music. Previous directors have included Sam Batt Owens, well-known leader in Episcopal church music, composer Scott Withrow, noted choral conductor Gregg Colson, Dr. Wilma Jensen, now named Organist/Choirmaster emerita, and Dr. Murray Somerville, founder of Belle Meade Baroque.

Dr. Mark Ring is our Director of Music Ministries, and he loves to speak with people interested in any of our music programs or joining the choir! Please feel free to call him at 385-2150, ext. 252, or email him at mark.ring@stgeorgesnashville.org. You can also follow this link to see all our music offerings.
