Mission Trips

We have taken summer mission trips to Augusta, GA, Appalachia, Honduras, and the Gulf Coast. These provide a wonderful chance for our kids to deepen their faith in Christ while reaching out to others in need.

These trips fill more quickly each year, so we recommend signing up early if you’re interested!

Outreach Recap: Urban Mission Trip

Summer 2010

A group of our rising 8th and 9th graders joined Christ Church for the Urban Mission Trip. What better place to learn about reaching out to people in need than right in our own city? Each day, “Urban” introduced the youth to two or three Nashville service agencies. This was a powerful week of reflection, education, hard work, and building lasting relationships with those in need. Our friends at the Oasis Center helped lead the first day of orientation and discussion. Some of the nonprofit agencies visited were: Magdalene House & Thistle Farms, Reconciliation House, Campus for Human Development, Siloam, Oasis, Mobile Loaves and Fishes, St. Luke’s, Preston Taylor Ministries, East Nashville Hope Exchange, Matthew 25, and Second Harvest. We spent the nights in the beautiful St. Augustine’s Chapel on Vanderbilt’s campus.
