Good Work: Summer Adult Sunday School Class

June 5 - August 14 at 9:00am in Hampton Hall

We are excited to bring in speakers who are (1) leaders in their industry, and (2) committed followers of Christ who can speak to integrating their faith with their industry or vocation. Together, we'll learn how this contributes to the common good.

Together, we'll re-evaluate the idea that being a pastor or missionary is the only way to be involved in "spiritual work."
All work has the potential of participating in God’s mission to bring about wholeness and to serve as a sign to the Kingdom of God.

As you engage with each speaker, we invite you to consider what your own "Good Work" might be and to consider the ways it is building the Kingdom of God.

Our first speaker on June 5 will be Missy Wallace, business woman and founder of the Nashville Institute for Faith and Work.

June 5 | Missy Wallace, Founding Executive Director of Nashville Institute for Faith & Work

June 12 | Jason Ballard, President & Co-Founder of Tree House, a home design and performance center focused on sustainability, healthy, and quality.

June 19 | Troy Tomblinson, President/CEO at Sony/ATV Nashville, the world's largest country music catalog.

June 26 | Chuck Grice, attorney with Stites & Harbison

July 3 | Rep. Jim Cooper, U.S. Congressman from Tennessee

July 10 | Sr. Mary Diana Dreger, MD, Dominican Sister of the Saint Cecilia Congregatio and internist at Saint Thomas Family Health Center South Clinic, serving a predominantly immigrant and uninsured population.

July 17 | Marty Dickens, Retired CEO of BellSouth and the 2013 Nashvillian of the Year

July 24 | Dr. Jim Henderson, Medical Director at Siloam Family Health Center
