75th Anniversary
Since our founding in 1949, St. George’s has been a congregation of people planted and sent in Christ.
As we mark our 75th anniversary this year, we give special thanks for the people of God whose faithful commitment and bold initiatives have helped the kingdom flourish in our corner of Nashville and beyond. Our festivities will culminated in a weekend of celebration in October 25-27. We give thanks to God for 75 years of ministry in this place together!

A Celebratory Evening of Story & Song
Friday, October 25 | 6:00 - 8:30pm in Legacy Hall
Don't wait to make your reservation for this highly-anticipated event! As much as we have already reminisced and celebrated this year, this gathering for adults will be a formative, landmark experience to share together as the church body. We'll begin our evening in the Bradford Gallery with food and drinks as we enjoy the 75th Anniversary exhibit that traces the history of our beloved parish. Then we'll come together in Legacy Hall for a one-of-a-kind musical presentation. Join us!
This adults-only event is $25 per person. Please reserve your place and pay online by October 16 using the link below.
Parish Reception
Sunday, October 27 | 10:05am in Hampton Hall
Join us for a parish reception as we wrap up our 75th Anniversary Preaching Series with fellowship and vintage recipes from St. George’s very first reception cookbook. We will honor prior members of the reception committee who have invested so much in parish hospitality over the years. This reception also serves as a way to remember the saints who’ve gone before us in anticipation of All Saints Sunday on November 3.
75th Anniversary Celebration Concert
Sunday, October 27 at 6:00pm
This fall St. George’s celebrates 75 years of ministry together, which includes a long-standing tradition of sacred music concerts and community partnerships. To mark the occasion, the Choir and Choristers of St. George’s will join forces with an orchestra to present movements from two beloved masterworks: Haydn’s “Lord Nelson” Mass and Handel’s Messiah. The performance of these two triumphant works celebrates not only our parish’s growth since its founding, but also gives thanks for perseverance through bold initiatives and challenges. We invite you to continue the celebration at a reception after the concert.
Preaching Series
It has been such joy to share our robust 75th Anniversary Preaching Series with you as we invited eight previous St. George’s clergy to preach in celebration of our 75th year as a parish. We invite you to revisit their reflections and encouragements as our anniversary continues.
God's Sacred Story: Bradford Gallery Exhibit
Now Showing through December 2024
Our newest Bradford Gallery exhibit celebrates the continuing story of God's people here at St. George's over the last 75 years. We invite you to visit the gallery this fall and reflect on and celebrate some of the major initiatives of this parish and the ways that this church has overcome incredible adversity in our history.
