The Rev. Christopher Bowhay served as a guest preacher for our 75th Anniversary Preaching Series at 8:45am in the Nave.  

The Rev. Christopher Bowhay served as Senior Associate Rector at St. George’s from 2012-2015. He was ordained in Washington, DC in 1992 and married his wife Sally in San Francisco in 1997. Along with daughter Augusta, they cheerfully followed our Lord’s call to Houston in 2000. When he arrived at St. George’s, Chris shared his vocational talents in all areas of ministry, providing leadership in worship and Christian formation. In 2015, he was called to share his unique gifts with the congregation of St. Peter’s Columbia, where he still serves today as Rector.

An exceptional teacher, Chris loves to make connections between books, movies, music of all kinds, and the love of God. He secretly wishes he could be a chef, write scripts for scary movies, or design fireworks — anything that delights and brings people together.
