75th Anniversary: Timothy Jones
The Power of Small Blessings: A little is a lot when God is in it.
The Rev. Timothy Jones served as a guest preacher for our 75th Anniversary Preaching Series at 10:00am in the Nave.
About the Rev. Timothy Jones | Tim served as Senior Associate Rector at St. George’s from 2005 to 2012 with leadership in adult formation and outreach. He played an important role in several of our ministries, including a multi-year partnership with St. Thomas Parish in Kagiso, South Africa. He encouraged St. George’s to consider the ways that our Christian faith intersects with art, culture, and business relationships through the creation of several ministry initiatives, including our Faith Meets the Arts series, the Praxis Forum, and our nation-wide conference called C3: Christ, Church, Culture.
And on the home front, Tim brought his mandolin and formed a little bluegrass band. With some from Gerry Senechal, AnnaGee Harris, Charlie Gore, Calvin Lewis, and several others, Ecclesigrassticus became the most popular house band for St. George’s events.
In addition to his parish ministry, Tim has a strong passion for writing and has been featured in several magazines and published his own works. He and his wife Jill have recently moved back to the Nashville area, and we’re so delighted to welcome them today.
