75th Annivesary: Kristine Blaess
A Prayer of Joy
From the beginning, God’s banner over us has been love. Even before the beginning, God knew that he would take our faults and our sorrows, our brokenness and our sin, turn us toward him, and make us new. The rescue we need comes from God. God’s delight is in you! The glory and the story of his grace poured out upon us though his beloved Son Jesus is lifted up in our praise.
"In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace that he lavished on us" (Ephesians 1:7-8a).
The Rev. Dr. Kristine Blaess served as a guest preacher for our 75th Anniversary Preaching Series at 10:00am in the Nave.
The Rev. Dr. Kristine Blaess has been rector at St. Paul’s Church, Murfreesboro, Tennessee since 2019. She spent her first decade of ordained ministry in rural Idaho serving congregations in majority LDS communities. Her doctoral work emerged from her desire to help congregations flourish as their leaders grow ever deeper as disciples of Jesus Christ. With great joy, Kristine+ and her husband Michael+ served at St. George’s from 2012-2019. This fall, St. Paul’s is retiring its main campus debt and developing two new initiatives to build up lay and clergy leaders: Alpha, to develop laity as spiritual and community leaders; and a Pastoral Residency, to grow healthy rectors for the sake of the Church. Son Jack is starting his sophomore year at Centre College in Danville, KY, and daughter Natalie will be a Senior at Central Magnet High School.
