God doesn’t stay at the mountain top and neither do we.

The transfiguration functions kind of like a preview. It is a sneak peek at the true nature and glory of Christ, about the character of our God, and it is hinting toward the fulfillment of all the law and the prophecies: the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
